Description
Supported by the Lancashire Construction Best Practice Club, FMB, NFB and UCLan.
Are you interested in finding out more about the Governments Green Deal initiative to address the energy and sustainability performance of buildings - due to go live in Autumn 2012?
It is increasingly recognised that forming consortia may be the best way to secure and deliver green deal work.
Therefore we are launching the Green Deal Consortia Club associated with the Lancashire Construction Best Practice Club. Ideas for the nature and format of the club would be determined at the first meeting on the 22nd of February and will include:
- Membership, Fees, Funding
- Timing and location of the meetings
- Understand Green Deal, PAS 2030 and other developments
- Receive advice and support
- Hear from local clients
- Prepare for PAS 2030 accreditation
- Forming consortia to bid for green deal work
- Learn, share and benchmark systems, approaches and practices
- Online forum for discussions and sharing
- Gain publicity for preparation
- Win green deal work
At the moment there are a lot of uncertainties of how the initiative will be funded in detail, how the assessments will work, what will be included and timescales.
If there are any certainties they would be that Green Deal will happen, and that construction organisations wishing to be involved with Green Deal (and other eco refurbishment schemes) installation and associated works will require accreditation to PAS 2030 and the green deal code of practice.
